XR's 'Master Series Ball Stretcher' Goes Viral After Mistaken Stint on Sears.com

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — XR Brands is taking a round of internet infamy in stride after Twitter users discovered the company's Master Series Heavy Hitch Ball Stretcher had been accidentally offered for sale on Sears.com to unsuspecting shoppers searching for "medicine balls."

"The listing, which has since been removed, spent nearly three months on Sears.com where it first appeared on September 9," a rep explained. "Twitter users took note earlier this month and the social networking site was buzzing with the news of this unexpected product available from one of the United States’ most enduring retailers. The story took off with mentions appearing on high-traffic pop culture outlets like Brobible.com. BarstoolSports.com and Popculture.com."

An XR rep described a ball stretcher as a device that encircles the scrotum above the testicles and creates pleasurable sensations by gently pushing or pulling the testicles away from the body.

"The Master Series Heavy Hitch Ball Stretcher is designed to test users’ limits with its two 8-ounce weights. The 'U' portion of the stretcher is placed above the testicles, allowing users to savor the pull of the heavy-duty stainless steel with two connector chains dangling, each with a convenient hook for adding each of the weighted balls," said the rep.

The mistake prompted a good interoffice laugh, noted XR president Rebecca Weinberg.

"We love that one of our kinkier items gave the internet something to smile — and blush — about,” she said. "All joking aside, the Master Series Heavy Hitch Ball Stretcher is a product we are very proud of and we’re thrilled this mishap has helped put it on the radar for more consumers. You may not be able to buy it from Sears anymore, but the Heavy Hitch Ball Stretcher and the rest of the Master Series line are still available all over the internet."

The rep advised consumers to search for "heavy hitch ball stretcher."
